AlleyCat was made to assist government departments and individuals with a dedicated model number for acquisition. AlleyCat models have a different DLC coating, have reconfigured internals of the same technology, slight length changes, are generally in quick detach only, and are more often than not, in one-piece additive construction. This does not mean the government models have ‘better’ tech, its exactly the same, just put together differently.

Only the absence of the in-built 1x16LH quick detach feature. For C.A.T users that want to have versatility in HUB, they have it but a simple purchase of a TSFX adapter will turn a HUB variant back into a standard QD variant, one that matches the one piece models in external form factor.

For the same reason most brands use Third Party Logistics (3PL) and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) providers, they offered a service that fit our needs, nothing more nefarious than that. Our focus is technology innovation and production, not post process. We don’t think you get more medals for making it in your shop versus using another American company that offers you better services ability, as long as it’s still made in America and retains its quality. We spend our money in America, so we use CGS for C.A.T and Research 47 for AlleyCat.

Starting in 2025 you can. We worked with our technology partners at TSF to give us a full ITAR compliant design and manufacturing solution for the rest of the world, the reverse of what those European brands sometimes do in America. TSF designs and manufacturers “Euro C.A.T” from the ground up in Europe. Looks the same on the outside, different on the inside but that same C.A.T innovation.
