The SR is a cornerstone of the CAT .22LR line. A compact, lightweight suppressor platform first launched in 2024 and engineered to deliver exceptionally high suppression relative to its size. Designed around maximum efficiency, the original SR set a benchmark for sound reduction per unit of volume while maintaining durability through additive manufacturing. In 2025 the platform advanced to its second iteration – a refined single-piece design that supersedes both the original SR and the ALLEYCAT 22. The current SR consolidates the performance characteristics of both predecessors into a monolithic architecture, improving structural rigidity, consistency, and service life while retaining the suppression performance the SR line is known for. The result is a cleaner, more robust system optimized for modern .22LR use with no penalty to weight or balance. Now in its second and strongest form, the SR represents CAT’s most complete expression of compact rimfire suppression, a permanent fixture in the range rather than a limited run. Purpose-built for .22LR applications only, and not compatible with 5.7mm systems.
